DAILY ACTIVITIES
Here you will find some of my daily activities as well as the sports activity calendar with a short description and story behind each of the sports.
Cooking & My Recipes
One of my passions is cooking, although I do not eat basic added sugar or similar things; therefore, I usually need to cook for myself.

I would say that I'm good at making simple stuff and desserts, although I still need to work on some more complex main dishes. That's why you will find a lot of different sweet or simple recipes here.
If you are interested in following my journey as I get better or just want to try out some new sugar-free recipes, just look at the right-hand side.

DAILY SPORTS ACTIVITY PLANNER
Here is my usual weekly sports activity schedule:
Gym
One of the newly started activities is going to the gym. At the moment, I go to the gym twice a week. Each time I go, it takes around 3 hours of my time, including the warmup and recovery stretching. Usually my workouts are structured to target either upper or lower body parts, depending on which muscle group had the least amount of training before (it's very important to let muscles rest to avoid injuries).

Tennis
I started playing tennis when I was about 7 years old, and I was really good at it. After about 4 - 5 years, I just lost the spark of enthusiasm for it and decided that I didn't like it anymore; therefore, I swapped it out for figure skating.

I hated it ever since, only until recently, when, under some unexpected circumstances, I tried playing it again and decided that it was a really great way to work on my explosive power as well as my concentration and reaction.

Although, at this point in time, I do not play in any tournaments, but at least I'm not against the idea of playing tennis anymore.
Figure skating
The main sport I did during the IBDP Years 1 was figure skating. I've been skating for more than 10 years, however, there were several periods of time when I did not skate due to injuries or a changed attitude towards this sport.
I managed to competed in 3 tournaments during the 2022 - 2023 season:
-
LT - Vilnius, Silver Skate Cup, 3rd place
-
LT - Šiauliai, Tomas Cup 14th, 2nd place
-
LV - Ryga, Volvo Open Cup 49th, 4th place

Every week, I had about 8 trainings (7 on-ice and 1 off-ice) in total. Although, before and after every one of those, I had to do a 30-minute warm-up consisting of more than 70 jumps as well as a cool-down with a lot of muscle-strengthening exercises.

Last season (2023-2024) I participated 4 tournaments in total, although due to the damage to my body done by figure skating I will not continue figure skating training.
Gymnastics
This activity was a mandatory thing for me because of the figure skating training. During the gymnastics classes, we did a lot of mobility and flexibility exercises. Classes occurred twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Boxing
While I fell in love with boxing a few years ago, although only now I finally found the time to start training consistently, twice a week. Which I expect to continue even after finishing the IB Diploma program.
Running
The last big part of my active life is running. To be completely honest, I'm not really good at running fast, therefore, I focus on longer distances. I've been doing it since I was a little child, although I started to do it more frequently about 3 years ago.
During this period of time, I've participated in 3 running events:
-
Vilnius 700 half marathon, half marathon, 2023 05 27
-
The San Francisco marathon, 2nd half marathon, 2023 07 23
-
Rimi Vilnius marathon, half marathon, 2023 09 10
Currently, I started marathon training with about 4 running trainings a week. These runs not only help me strengthen my cardiovascular system, but also act as a therapy season, or, in other words, a way to get out of my head.
