Looking for a treat that’s both sweet and satisfying? Then this chocolate chip cupcake recipe of mine is just the thing to make your day a little bit sweeter!

Servings: 12 Difficulty: Easy
Cooking time: 25 minutes Preparation time: 15 minutes Total time: 40 minutes
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk
1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Step 3: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
Step 4: Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 5: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in alternating batches with sour cream and milk. Start and end with the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
Step 6: Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Step 7: Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
Step 8: Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.
Step 9: Let the cupcakes cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve and Enjoy!
