One of the most annoying things after coming home after a long and stressful day is making dinner, especially if there is no time for it. Now imagine a warm, healthy and delicious meal that you can make in 15 minutes, is there anything better than that?
Most of us have pasta, as well as, some types of frozen vegetables and protein, therefore this recipe I created doesn't require a lot of preparation before hand. Just pull out the ingredients from the freezer or a pantry and cook!

Servings: 2 Difficulty: Easy
Cooking time: 13 minutes Preparation time: 2 minutes Total time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
120g pasta
A splash of cooking oil
100g frozen or fresh shrimp
250g frozen or fresh cut into smaller pieces broccoli
100 ml heavy cream
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Some grated hard cheese for serving
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the pasta with the tablespoon of salt according to the instructions on the box or for about 8–14 minutes.
Step 2: Heat the cooking oil in the saucepan and add the shrimp. Cook them until slightly brown.
Step 3: Then add the broccoli (if you decided to use fresh broccoli, also add in about 200 ml of water) and cover the saucepan. Let it steam for about 10 minutes.
Step 4: Drain the cooked pasta, but keep about 50 ml of excess pasta water.
Step 5: In a saucepan, add the pasta, heavy cream, pasta water, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for about 3–5 more minutes.
*Serve it with a little bit of grated hard cheese and/or a little bit more ground black pepper.

Useful tips
- For this type of sauce fusilli, gemelli or rotini types of pasta work best.
- If you use frozen shrimp and frozen broccoli, you can leave out the cooking oil as the water will be enough to cook the shrimp and broccoli.
- If you don't have any shrimp, you can easily swap it out for some chicken (then you would need about 200g of chicken breast).
