Pushing boundaries
Well, this time after the last tournament, I decided that it would be a good idea to try out a new brand of skates, although that didn't go as planned...
In theory, these new skate boots should have been stronger and more long-lasting than my previous pair. That's why I started skating with them about two weeks before this tournament, the last competition of the season, but little did I know the suffering was useless...
So to actually explain some things, these new boots were so uncomfortable that after each ice session, I felt like my feet were hit by a brick. Although I was still hopeful that they would last at least a few months, instead of a few weeks, until the day before the competition, when I finally saw it...the breaking mark...

This meant that I again needed to skate with broken figure skates. Thankfully, I still had some left-over hockey tape, and I could try and strengthen the broken parts of my boots with it.
Although, because of this problem, I was ready to place last and fall at least twice during my programme, but guess what? I again pushed my boundaries and set a new personal record, improving the last one by almost 1 point (which is quite a lot).
Therefore, this tournament allowed me to see that I need to be more confident in my abilities and showed that even in problematic situations, I can still go beyond my boundaries.
