During my recent role as a line umpire at a tennis event, I gained a whole new level of respect for the accuracy and focus required in the job. As a line umpire, every moment requires undivided attention, as I had to make quick, precise calls on every point that landed near the line.

The pressure is real—each decision is crucial, and there’s no room for hesitation. But there’s also a unique satisfaction in the responsibility, knowing your call is vital to the fairness of the game. Whether it’s a tight serve or a questionable line call, staying alert and confident is key.
