Growing hearts?

Sometimes trying to match nail design with different events can be hard, although nothing is impossible.

I needed these nails to not only match my competition dress, as I participated in a figure skating tournament, but also to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Even before I started drawing the sketch, I knew that I needed to incorporate hearts, but when I actually came up with the idea to portray them as leafless tree branches shaped into hearts, I was more than keen on moving forward with this idea.

That's how I created this design plan:

This design didn't take too much time and was quite easy to do; therefore, the process was very enjoyable and successful. While the design was not that difficult to complete, it turned out even better than expected.

Tips & Comments

- It's better to apply a thinner layer of nail polish than a thicker one.

- Start out with the simpler nail designs and only then move on to the harder ones.
