As the season has passed the midline, the new tournaments have yet to arrive, although this one was a little bit different...
After my last figure skating camp, I began to experiment with different slides, spins, and other creative moves, which led me to change out the step sequence as well as the end of my programme.
The funny thing was that my coach was yet to be informed about this decision, and even when I told her, something was left to be seen during this tournament.
The whole event actually happened on the day of Easter. As I woke up and got ready, I was greeted with an Easter chocolate hunt prepared by my sister, which only made the morning even more exciting.
Well, the Easter spirit passed on to the figure skating event as well, when I wanted my teammates to skate and celebrate their performances.
When it was time for my skate, my coach told me, "We will see if you will have as much freedom during the next tournament," which meant that if I did well, I could still choose my own moves, spins, etc. the next time, and if I didn't, then the freedom would be restricted.

It is safe to say her expectations were met, as I walked off the ice with more than a 3.5-point surplus from my best skate so far.
Now I see that actually changing the programme to fit my needs and feelings, as well as the ability to create, has led to my improvement, and I will try to do the same for the other upcoming tournaments in order to achieve even better scores.
