Childish dream

Have you ever experienced the want or even a need to be appreciated by someone you look up to? Now imagine giving a chance to do that if you are that 'idol'.

That was exactly my experience while designing these nails. And actually, this ability and the process bring even more joy as well as gratitude than just simply creating a design.

The journey

I was just trying to think of a design, as I always did, when suddenly a question 'popped' into my head: 'Why not let my younger friends design it for me', or, in other words, give me the main idea, a direction I need to follow.

That question stayed in my head for about a week, when I finally decided, I'm going to give the opportunity of designing my nails to a child.

The whole questioning, explaining, and decision part was rather easy because the girl was enthusiastic to say the least; therefore, the only thing that I could now do was wait and see what design she would create...

The plan

I didn't have to wait long, because only about an hour after our conversation did she send me the first design that she thought of:

My friend wanted to illustrate the colourfulness as well as darkness of autumn, with its' rain and sheets of fallen leaves.

While I loved her aim and didn't want to criticise her, the design was a bit mismatched and too much for a more mature person. That's why I had to dig into my own imagination and combine her design with my own ideas. This was the time when the main design came to vision:

Although I still didn't want to go behind my friend's back and needed her last approval, that's why the process took a little bit more time, but in the end, with a little more persuasion, we agreed on the same, and now the final design.

The finished look

While both hands turned out very differently, knowing the meaning of the design allows us to see the connections between them and the beauty of the nail art.
